The State-Key Laboratory (SKL) of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI of University of Macau invites applications for fixed term Research Assistants in the following 3 areas, with monthly salary ranging from MOP 18,000 to MOP 24,000 (Salary is subject to the applicants’ qualification and experience):
1) Integrated Power Research – Analog IC Design (FPAA Architecture, other analog circuits)
2) Integrated Power Research – Digital IC Design (FPGA Architecture, other digital circuits)
3) Integrated Power Research – Power Management IC (DC Buck, DC Buck-Boost, LDO, etc.)
The vision of integrated power research is to optimize the overall system performance, reliability, and cost of power electronics systems, and to reduce the time and effort associated with developing and manufacturing such systems, as a result of the implementation of the generic power electronics controller and management ICs.
Responsibilities
• To conduct various types of research activities (e.g. implementation of the innovative ideas and circuit techniques in real chip prototypes; scientific publication writings like books, patents, journal and conference papers);
• To coordinate with the normal operation of the laboratory;
• To provide support for all the activities of the laboratory;
• To lead, advise and provide training support to the research members in the laboratory.
Requirements
• Master degree in the related field of Microelectronics or Integrated Circuits;
• Chip Implementations, tape-outs and measurement experiences are highly recommended;
• Scientific publication experiences (in international journals and conferences) are highly recommended;
• English Proficiency is mandatory;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and independently;
• With the experience in developing FPAA or FPGA architecture and writing Verilog code will be a plus.
